  • Spelling pretest
  • Students will write their spelling words on index cards. Using the index cards, the students will alphabetize their words and write them in a list.
  • Students will read a teacher selected story and answer the comprehension questions.
  • Students will use a graphic organizer to sequence their story. They may draw pictures or write the response.
  • Students will identify the story elements by  writing their responses onto  the “story paddles”.

*All students will be working toward their grade level TEKS according to their I.E.P.s
